What we collect, and what we don't.
We sell security for a living, so it would be a poor look to be careless with yours. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you use cloudnuance.com.
Who we are
CloudNuance LLC ("CloudNuance", "we", "us") is a managed IT, cybersecurity and AI consulting company based in Boise, Idaho, serving businesses across the Treasure Valley. We are the controller of the information described here.

What this policy covers
This policy covers this website. It does not cover the data we handle inside client systems while providing IT services — email, files, endpoints, tenants and the rest. That work is governed by the service agreement and any confidentiality or business associate agreement we sign with you, which take precedence over this page.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in the contact form we collect your name, company, work email, phone number if you provide one, what you're interested in, and whatever you write in the message. When you book through our scheduling link, the scheduling provider collects your name, email and the time you choose.
We ask for this so we can reply and prepare for the conversation. It is not required to browse the site, and we'd rather you sent us too little than something sensitive — please don't put passwords, account numbers, health information or client data in the message box.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our host records standard server logs: IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, and the date and time. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or errors.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages get read, how people arrive, roughly where in the world they are. It sets cookies and collects a truncated IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view. We use it to see what's working, not to identify individuals, and we have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features or data sharing for advertising purposes.
What we deliberately don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we never have.
- We don't run advertising, retargeting or advertising pixels of any kind.
- We don't load fonts, scripts or images from third-party CDNs — our fonts are served from our own server, so your visit isn't announced to anyone else just by loading the page.
- We don't buy contact lists or enrich what you send us with data from brokers.
- We don't require an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies (_ga and a property-specific _ga_*), which distinguish one visitor from another and expire after two years. We use no other cookies and no local storage for tracking.
You can opt out in several ways, all of which we respect:
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which blocks it on every site.
- Block cookies or use a content blocker — the site works perfectly well without analytics, and we don't detect or nag you about it.
- Use your browser's private or incognito mode.
How we use information
- To reply to you, answer your question and, if it goes that way, scope and deliver the work.
- To keep the site secure, available and working correctly.
- To understand in aggregate which pages are useful, so we can write better ones.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that operate parts of this site, and only to the extent they need it. We don't disclose it to anyone else except where the law requires it, or where it's necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
- Our web host — stores the site and keeps the server logs described above.
- Web3Forms — receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our email.
- Calendly — runs the scheduling link, and collects your name, email and chosen time when you book.
- Google Analytics — provides the aggregate traffic statistics described above.
- Our email and business systems — where your message lands once it reaches us.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing what it does with data it processes. Some are located in, or transfer data to, the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form enquiries and related correspondence for as long as there's an active conversation or relationship, and for up to two years afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. Records we're required to keep for tax or legal reasons are kept for the period the law requires. Analytics data is retained for no more than fourteen months. Server logs are retained on our host's standard schedule, typically a matter of weeks.
If you'd like us to delete your enquiry sooner, just ask.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, so traffic between you and us is encrypted in transit. Access to the mailbox that receives enquiries is protected with multi-factor authentication, and access to our systems is limited to people who need it. No system is perfect and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something, but we apply to ourselves the same controls we recommend to clients.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can tell us to stop contacting you. Email hello@cloudnuance.com and we'll act on it. We won't treat you differently for asking.
If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we process it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already happened.
Our legal bases are: consent for analytics cookies; legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and understanding how it's used; and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, or performance of a contract, when you contact us about work. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we've considered your rights and don't believe our interest overrides them — but you can object, and we'll listen.
We're a small business in the United States and we don't target the European market, so information you send us is processed in the US. You have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority; we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
If you're in California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request a copy, to correct it, to request deletion, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.
In the past twelve months we have collected identifiers (name, email, phone, company, IP address), commercial information relating to services you enquired about, and internet activity information from our analytics. It comes from you and from your use of the site, and is used for the purposes listed above.
We have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give rise to a right to limit it. We do not sell the personal information of anyone, and we don't have actual knowledge of selling the personal information of minors under 16.
Children
This is a business-to-business site and it isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we'll delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site links out to other places — our scheduling page, Google's opt-out tool, and the occasional source we cite. Once you're there, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be called out plainly rather than buried.
